Black Ops Broke

Just jump. Just trust in Him to take you where you need to go. Well actually you don't need to trust Him, because He's gonna take you where you need to go no matter what. But how much more worry will you have if you DON'T trust Him to take you there.

Its kinda like what George Childs spoke about when he came and spoke at Sean Cawley's (my roommate) house. Its so much easier to lift something up to God than to have Him take it from you. When God takes something from you, it hurts. But if you give it to Him, and He accepts it, its so much easier and you can understand that its for your best. You can be assured. So by saying just jump, I'm saying do it blindly, but with faith, knowing He will catch you.

Why?

Cause He loves you. And that's what we need to focus on. The Love of God. May sound hippie, but guys, that's really what life is all about. Love. And I mean it. Guys if it weren't for love, there wouldn't be a life worth living. And we are called to take that love. To let it fill our lives and then let it overflow into the lives of others. That's our call in life. Right? (Answer this mentally... or out loud)

So to all of you going to college. Which is everyone in college or on their way to college, or not in college yet, because you will be there soon enough. What's the difference between you and an RUF leader who also shows up at college every fall? Why does the RUF leader have such a bigger impact on the students around them than the students? Because the RUF leader comes with the purpose of sharing that love that I was talking about. The RUF leader comes to impact, the student comes to learn.

But what if the student decided to put impacting people first? You already said our call in life was to share the love. Right? (If you didn't.... well go back to the question up there and try again, you got it wrong.) So if the student put impacting people first and learning second (not that its unimportant...) then how much greater an impact could be made on campus? Not only is there an RUF leader taking an active role in shepherding people and sharing his or her love, there are also student, getting the places the RUF leaders can't always reach. So. That's my challenge to you college students. And for high schoolers. There are no RUF leaders in high school. Just some youth leaders who are at the church where people have to choose to come to. Make an impact and set that as your main goal.
